TEHRAN: City of Great Sins

My city, your city and the city where many people live Here is the city of the sinful rulers. It is the Ommol Ghara of the Islam world (where the Koran was read it was also translated as Mecca) a city between the land and the sky. Nobody knows whether it is an Occidental or Islamic city. Due to the drawings of martyrs in its walls, one always feels him/herself under observancethis city is called as Tehranthe city of great sins.

This name was given to this city by the children who went voluntarily to the fronts during the Iraqi-Iranian war. When saying the city of great sins, they actually meant the young girls and boys walking in the streets hand in hand in their chic dresses. None of these children, who went to the war with their all pureness and innocence, did not even think that the courts specific to the clergymen would be more crowded than the courts dealing with the social problems.

In the Ommol Ghara of the Islamic world, namely in Tehran, the girls fleeing from their homes are raped within 24 hours and forced to prostitute in order to gain money. In this big city, no one has the right to ask questions nobody can ask for what the national incomes are spent.

A nation, who does not know its history and even denies it, is condemned to be dissolved. The Iranian leadership, who presents itself steadily as the biggest power of the region, Ommol Ghara of the Islamic world and new super power of the world, is not interested in dealing with the deprived regions of the country and is even indifferent to what is going on in this big city. The situation in our capital Tehran, where the actual President was the mayor   once, does in fact illustrate how the regime considers and solves the problems. Lets have a look at the capabilities and governance of the regime ruling in Iran through the culture of this city with the population of 14 million and the official data:

Here is situation of Iran being in the eve of economic embargoes

·        the number of the patients having AIDS: 70-80 thousand persons

·        the number of the people using drug through injection: 400 thousand people

·        The number of the persons having drug problems: 20 million people

·        The death rate among the drug addicts: 1 person per hour

·        The rate of the people having chronic psychological diseases: 18 %

·        The number of students deprived of educational equality: 9 million persons

·        The number of the illiterate people: 8 million persons

·        The number of the people living under the poverty line: 13 million persons

·        The number of the people living in the ghettos: 6 million persons

·        The place in the world according to damages caused by natural disasters: 1st in the world

·        The number of jobless people: 19 million persons

·        The number of workers who cannot get their salaries regularly and who are unpaid: 25% of the workforce in the country

·        The number of workers who are fired this year: 150 thousand people

·        The number of manufacturing units being at the edge of bankruptcy: 400 units

·        The place among 140 countries according the number of prisoners: 20th

·        The number of prisoners: nearly 135 thousand (in Japan, where the population is twofold, the number of prisoners is almost 70 thousand people).

·        The number of people died because of mines remaining from the Iraqi-Iranian war: 1 person per day

·        The number of people died because of car accidents: 77 thousand persons per 5 million cars

·        The annual amount of money coming illegally to the country: 11 million dollars

·        The amount of import last year: 40 billion dollars

·        The external debt: 2 billion dollars

These data, which are announced by the state itself, are enough to reveal the miserable situation of Iran, namely the super power being in the eve of the embargoes. When we consider the income coming from the fuel search and sale in Iran, our fuel income was 176 billion dollars until 1979, in other words, in the period till the Revolution. In the meantime, everybody knows that the people were much more prosperous and this prosperity was stemming only from the fuel incomes in spite of the World War II and the pressures Iran was exposed in the rule of Pahlavi after having got rid of the Qajar state. Because, Iran has nothing valuable to sell apart from the fuel, the black calamity. You may well want to add the income we get from the sale of carpet, peanut and caviar. But it is necessary to remind that the income we got these products is very small and limited. On the other hand, the fuel income from 1979 till now is almost 800 billion dollars. Just here, does not such a question appear in your mind? Well, where are these moneys? Nobody knows the answer of this question. The fact is that 140 billion dollars of this country is completely lost and in the calculations this amount is lacking. Because, nobody knows where this amount has gone to.

Are the problems in the Ommol Ghara of the Islamic world are only the economic ones? This society, which has been living in the Ommol Ghara that is ruled with the culture of city of great sins and which is neutralized through the pressures and lies it has been exposed, is faced with great psychological and social problems.

How is Ommol Ghara?

Todays Ommol Ghara of the Islamic World is as follows:

·        a place where the colors of rainbow are forbidden and the black color is dominant,

·        where the couples are first married, then they know each other,

·        Where everybody is considered bad until the contrary is evidenced,

·        Where you cannot become representative or vizier unless you kill some,

·        Where the mothers have not the right of life, motherhood and  wifehood and they are steadily promised to go to the heaven,

·        Where the children are born to satisfy the complexes of parents,

·        Where the Mollahs are superior to hundreds of doctors and engineers,

·        Where you absolutely need pulls in order to be examined by a doctor when you are ill.

·        Despite our billions of dollars, only several tents are given to the people suffered in the disasters,

·        Where the educated and intellectual persons are jobless, while the illiterate ones are considered as vizier and wise man,

·        Where women are first left in their kitchens and they are then resembled to the pearl within nacre,

·        Where lying is very easy and ordinary,

·        Where the half of the people has been living at the poverty line, while the TV serials are made in villas.

·        Where the opium is swarming,

·        Where you work as laborer after having made your military service for 2 years,

·        Where the music is forbidden,

·        Where the word of homeland is meaningless,

·        Where is the most evil President in the world,

·        Where your bag is controlled before entering the school and your mirror is seized

·        Where it is imposed that loving and being loved is foolish,

·        Where you can kiss everybody except for your wife- welcoming you after a voyage,

·        Where the peoples living there mock each other mercilessly,

·        Where the most hard-working peoples being always influential in the Iranian history (the Southern Azerbaijani people for example) are always oppressed due to the various reasons,

·        Where not speaking the Farsi with pronunciation of Tehran is a great offense,

·        Where the Azerbaijani Turkish people, who are known with their heroic acts and word view in the history, speak the Azerbaijani Turkish within their community, the Arabic with the God and the Farsi with their teacher,

However, despite all these negative aspects, Tehran is the city where the awareness of Turkishness awakes slowly
